22 million Bush administration e-mails found
Posted by: sikpuppy on December 15, 2009 at 5:34PM CST
In the vein of SRM----I found this newsworthy little item laying around today.  :-}    I don't know what's more astounding, that they were actually lost, or that 22 million e-mails were needed to fire nine lawyers.

Actually it was in the news yesterday. Could prove to be rather interesting. We'll have to wait and see.

How do you lose e-mails? You mean they printed them out and lost them?Well for cryin out loud!

Nothing will be made public until 2014, so everything will be white washed by then.

Penelope, they probably erase them. Unfortunately if you don't destroy the hard drive a lot of things can be retrieved.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday to. Unfortunately, as Old School referenced, they won't come out until 2014. By then nobody will care other than those of us invested in getting to the bottom of the truth.

As for you how lose emails there a couple of ways. The nefarious way is that you delete them and then instruct the system admins to destroy the backup tapes of those emails. The non-nefarious way is to have incompetent system admins along with shady White House employees. The incompetence comes with not having a backup solution in place to backup the emails. The shadiness comes in that these people deleted emails despite the law saying they must be saved.

So who knows the truth of what really happened. But, at least they've apparently been found and in 5 years we can see who really leaked Valerie Plame's name, the "real" reason behind the firing of the U.S. attorneys and the maybe even more evidence (not that we need anymore) of the blatant fabrication of reasons to invade Iraq.

I know exactly how you delete emails....
You fall asleep while typing one out with your finger on the backspace key!

Yup, it happened to me......

Can you imagine trying to read 22 million emails? I only have about half that many in my inbox and I can't keep up with them.

I had meant to put the CNN link there but forgot too. :-} From what I read, the only e-mails that can be held until 2014 are the presidentialal notes, all the rest are fair game. I know GWB didn't write one-half million e-mails, let alone 22 million.

Hey, was it Nixon who lost some tape recorded conversations....just when the preceding words were getting real interesting? Was it Clinton who had a team of lawyers trying to find lost paperwork of White Water and Vince Foster. And questions about Hilliary's $100,000 meat packing adventures. Seems llike all words have a price if they can be kept for a purpose.

What does everyone expect from their government? You have to understand the all the presidencies of our time Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon ,Carter, Ragan, Bushes, Clintons, and Obama's are full of mistakes, they do the best they can with what they have to work with and all make mistakes that effect you and I. You have to understand one fact, they are all incompetent, those that work for the president, and the government or they would be working in the private sector.
