NO MORE BILLS: White House Refused to Open Pollutants E-Mail
Posted by: renko on June 26, 2008 at 4:10AM EST
"The White House in December refused to accept the Environmental Protection Agency’s conclusion that greenhouse gases are pollutants that must be controlled, telling agency officials that an e-mail message containing the document would not be opened, senior E.P.A. officials said last week.

The document, which ended up in e-mail limbo, without official status, was the E.P.A.’s answer to a 2007 Supreme Court ruling that required it to determine whether greenhouse gases represent a danger to health or the environment, the officials said.

This week, more than six months later, the E.P.A. is set to respond to that order by releasing a watered-down version of the original proposal that offers no conclusion. Instead, the document reviews the legal and economic issues presented by declaring greenhouse gases a pollutant."

--Sweet!  According to bush, no one has to pay taxes ever again: declare you will pay them at the end of the year, then decline to open the IRS audit statement.

So buy a car, buy a house, speculate on oil:  should it go badly, just decline to open the credit-agency reports and subpeonas.

He really IS an MBA preznit. Gotta go; I've got things to buy, investments to make, and things to sell.......the money's all *mine*!!!

No creditor can touch me. Thanks george!

 Who knew?

I heard this last night on "The Daily Show." What was more amazing was that the EPA changed their report after he refused to open it....

Missed that one. Saw Colbert's tribute to George Carlin (via 'the word'); a classic.
Not Opening Emails: the President of The United States. Our nat'n's leader employing playground tactics from a grade school playground. Perhaps someday a filmmaker will update "mean girls" to bush's politics. *That'd* be an excellent film.
Check out the "Rove Guru" entry. Explore Driftglasses website: His commentary is always good. And sometimes it's tear-inducing lacerating.
