Podcast: Billy Harris from Eyes

East Moline band Eyes released "Night Eyes," its first album on London-based Seed Records, earlier this month.

Billy Harris, lead singer for the band sat down for this week's podcast to talk about "Night Eyes" and preview the CD release show at Racers Edge in East Moline.

Podcast: Lojo Russo

Here's my first podcast ever, featuring singer Lojo Russo. Unfortunately I can't upload audio to Quadsville, so you'll all have to go back to www.qctimes.com proper in order to hear it. Or just follow this link.

I have to apologize for the quality of the audio during the interview portion of the podcast. Sometimes you have to learn by doing that a standard voice recorder, even if it is digital, doesn't necessarily capture high-quality audio. Future podcast guests will have to come to the Quad City Times offices for interviews rather than talking over the phone.

But here's the deal with the podcasts: Normally, we only feature artists when they're playing a big show or have a CD release. This podcast will allow me to chat with area bands and artists whenever they're working on new material. We'll talk about the direction the band is going sonically and play a few clips of the new material. Suggestions on who to feature next are always welcome.

Enjoy, and I promise that the audio will be better next time.
