Barack's Big Night
Posted by: Rep. Phil Hare on September 1, 2008 at 4:29PM EST

Happy Labor Day everyone! I am back in the Quad-Cities after spending last week at the Democratic Convention in Denver. If you didn't get a chance to watch Senator Obama's acceptance speech, I recommend you look it up on YouTube. It was one of the greatest political speeches I have ever heard.

Senator Obama talked about ending the war in Iraq and refocusing the fight against terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

He talked about creating jobs and giving middle class families tax relief.

He talked about making health care more affordable and ending our dependence on foreign oil.

He talked about ending corruption and bringing accountability back to the federal government.

Finally, he talked about ending the partisan divide and uniting the country behind a common purpose.

It is clear that Senator Obama is the person we need to lead our nation during these challenging times.

I look forward to helping him get elected this November.

It was a great speech. I only saw the last part (first Central football game was that night so I missed some) but it was good! I'm excited too! This election will be awesome!!!!

So far you have not been very good at responding to questions Phil, but I'll try again. When Obama said that the democrats are the party of Roosevelt and Kennedy, does that mean he will order the largest use of chemical warfare like Kennedy did with Operation Ranch Hand, killing and poisoning hundreds of thousands of people?

Sorry Philb.

So dazzling, so groundbreaking, so unifying of the right was The McRino's VP choice on the day following the National Irrational Democratical Convention, that apparently no one over 19 and a skunk longing for communist era remembers the speech that this guy gave in that temple mounted stadium.
