Shopping, working, or just hanging around: What are your plans today?
Posted by: Melissa C on December 26, 2008 at 10:32AM CST

What are your plans for today? Hitting the after-Christmas sales? Going to work? Hanging around in your pajamas?

I'm a bit envious of school children, college students and anyone in the education field today. It seems wrong to have to work during that week between Christmas and New Year's. We should have a national vacation week, at least in the Midwest, and just stay inside watching movies, doing puzzles and playing board games with the family. That's what my younger siblings are doing today. And it's what my daughter is doing at her grandma's house.

If you are online today, vote for your favorite "peaceful" photo and tell us what you're up to. Mashable.com has a few more online entertainment ideas if you are getting stir crazy. We'll have the results of the photo contest at 3 p.m.

I'm going to the Y.
I figure if I work out continuously for about 18 hours I might burn off half the calories from the Christmas grazing.

HAHA! I am going to the Y after work. Managed to keep it reasonable yesterday, but December, on the whole, was a lost cause.

I am babysitting the grandaughter, THAT will burn off enough calories for me! Hubby and daughter had to work today.

Well this is late but I spent the day playing video games, watching movies and playing dominoes with family! And I agree with you Melissa, it should be a week off for everyone!!! =)

I'm thinking about putting decorations away.It takes me a day to put it all out. It takes me three days to sort it all out, dust afterward and pick up pine needles for days afterwards. It's such a drag.I love the colors of Christmas. The house looks so plan when it's gone.

I was at the Y watching all the kiddies. They were so full of life and talking non stop about their holiday.

Hey Mike we'll be spending time this vacation making our first pinewood derby car....I'll have to blog about it.
