Posted by: reuther on November 27, 2009 9:27AM CST Used to end up at Harlans in the wee hours on a Saturday morning for breakfast on top of a considerable amount of beer. If you think their breakfasts are good sober . . .but that was a long time ago (please read Deidre's blog on wise drinking) when the itinerary on Friday began at Al's Lounge (longest bar in Iowa) and after a trip across the river to the Yankee Clipper and Jolly Roger, ended up back in Iowa at the Truck Stop out there on Hickory Grove. I don't know if I'll see the Commander this trip, but I do wish him smooth sailing and safe passage in dangerous waters. God bless.
