I have to say tonight I had fun watching the latest 12 perform.  Two of the guys were from towns I lived in...so that was cool.  Matt the dualing piano dude from Kalamazoo is enjoyable.  I've been to the bar he works in and...

Kris from Conway AR deserves to stay just so he doesn't have to go back to Conway!  No offense to anyone from Arkansas, but it's not a happening place to live.  When I was there in the mid-90's MTV was banned from the local cable channels.  It's also located in a dry county.  It's the belt buckle of the Bible Belt.  I like his version of Man in the Mirror over Michael Jackson's...and he's cute.

Nick was hilarious.  He's a cross between Richard Simmons ( the way he moves) and Paul Lynde (his voice).  I'm probably dating myself with the Paul Lynde reference.  He was a comedic actor who played the center square on Hollywood Squares when I was a kid.  Nick's voice reminds me of him.  I know he has no chance to stay in but he did make me laugh.  I'd love to see him on a Carol Burnett-like comedy sketch show.

My two favorite girls were Allison (loved Heart back in the 80's), and Jesse (she sang an 80's song too...hmmmm I see a pattern).  I hope they go through to the next round.

The judges seem to really like Megan...but all I could do was think Edie Brickell....she has the same hippy, folksy delivery.  It was also the way she moved on stage.  I don't know ...I guess I like the rocker chicks more.

I love Matt the Welders voice but I don't think he'll make it.  He doesn't have the right look.  I think he's totally hot..but then I'm married to a bald dude, whose put on a few since the wedding, and sports a goatee.  It's what I'm into!  Mr. Marismom can't sing though. :(

I really like Adam.  He's one of the those people who are mesmerizing and you can't look away.  Charisma with a capital C.  I thought his Rolling Stones song was pretty good...it was weird in the middle though.  I'm going to have to google him and figure out what musicals he's been in.
