Sorry I missed posting last week.  I procrastinated until Friday a.m. and then my son broke his wrist.  THAT put a damper on my entire Friday.

This weekend we have a ton going on...

Friday night the Y in Bettendorf is hosting Family Fun Night from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  The theme is Game Night and will include dinner, swimming, and gym time.  Cost is $5 per Y family, $10 for non Y families.

The Auto Show is free on Sunday for kids. Adults are just $6.  They are hosting a video gaming area that sounds like fun if you aren't into cars.

Battle of the Bridge at the Putnam is calling all would be engineers.  Teams can complete for $5 and possibly win prizes... and it's free for spectators.  From 12 noon until 5 p.m. on Sat. Feb. 7th.

If you like winter sports the Scott County Park in Long Grove is hosting snowshoeing, skiing, and sledding at the Whispering Pines shelter from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday Feb. 7th.  Dress warm and it's FREE.  Bring your own hot cocoa.

Next week is Valentines Day and if you haven't made plans yet the Bettendorf Y is hosting a Kids Night Out.  For only $15 per Y child, or $20 per non member child you can drop your kids off from 5:30-10:00 p.m.  The folks at the Y will feed them and supervise them while they swim and play in the gym.  It's just a win/win for the whole family.  Kids must be ages 4-12 to participate.

I know this isn't exactly cheap but if you were looking for a babysitter anyway.... :)
