CommU enters the 21st century
Posted by: Melissa C on November 15, 2009 at 8:15PM CST
It's about time.

CommUniversity is more than 30 years old, but other than the Web site and this Quadsville group we set up last year (and admittedly didn't do a whole lot with), we really haven't communicated much with people online. And that's a shame. Because CommU is a pretty cool organization.

I'm the vice president of the board, so I'm going to take the lead on getting us up to 21st century standards. Our 2010 course listing will be coming out soon, so join our group here, become our fan on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and you'll be sure to know about all the great courses we have planned.

For those of you unfamiliar with CommUniversity, here's a quick run down:

4 Sundays in February.

8 hours of learning.

35 courses.

No papers. No tests.

If you love to learn about new things and have interesting discussions with new people (and you must, because why else would you be HERE?), then check out CommU. More soon...

Thanks! What classes have you taken at CommU? I taught last year and am looking forward to taking a class this time. Not looking forward to having to choose from about 12 I'd like to take tho... :-)

I've taken Art History, Tai Chi, and religion history, I believe.
It's a great way to try out things that you may not have any background in - expand the horizons, so to speak.
Some teriffic instructors too.
