One last plug for the Singing For Life Blood Drive:

The Davenport Chordbusters Barbershop Chorus will be participating in the Barbershop Harmony Society's 2nd annual Singing For Life blood drive this Saturday, May 9 at the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Donation Center.

Last year the Barbershop Harmony Society teamed up with the American Red Cross, Hema-Quebec, America's Blood Centers, and the Canadian Blood Services to promote the need of giving blood.

Last May, the first Singing for Life event was a resounding success. 176 chapters participated, representing close to 16,000 performers across North America. More than 3000 units of blood were collected and many first-time donors were enlisted. In addition, many chapters experienced their first cross-promotional opportunity with other performing arts organizations.

This Saturday the Chordbusters Barbershop Chorus and its quartets will be having its 2nd annual Singing For Life blood donor drive at the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Donation Center from 7:00 - 11:30 a.m. The donation center is located at 5500 Lakeview Parkway, Davenport, Iowa. The Chordbusters and it quartets will performing during the blood drive. The quartets will be performing most of the morning while the chorus will perform around 10:00 a.m.

How can you help? We need blood donors. Stop out and visit us on Saturday and give the gift of life...give blood.
