What’s the greatest thing that ever happened to you?
Professionally, it was the chance to go to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to cover Quad-City soldiers who were guarding suspected terrorists there. That was pretty great ... but, really, I can think of a lot of great things that have happened in my career.

Personally, it was the births of my two children.

I'm a working mom, like so many of you, working hard to juggle it all (and loving it!).

I work full-time as a Quad-City Times features reporter and columnist. At home, I'm a wife and mom to two kids who are 15 years apart (ages 17 and 2) ... and I'm mom to the best dog ever, Mr. Guinness.

Zach was in my son's class at Prince of Peace, and look at him now!!! Way to go, Zach F. :) I'm very proud of your hard work and determination.

Thanks for letting us know, cobrastarship. I stand corrected: Davenport North also will be competing in this event. I just received a phone msg about this, too. Thanks. :)And there was no favoritism intended by me. I'm new to all of this show choir stuff (and, so far, very impressed by the work and dedication it takes to be a part of this).

Hello! Screen Name, the stories you're curious about reading can be found in our Times' archives through our Web site. Just go to "Search" and type in "Kay Luna, Guantanamo Bay" and a bunch of those stories will pop up. I just found them that way. Thanks for your interest.
