57 (soon to be 58) years old. Lived all but 2 1/2 years in the QCA, mainly Davenport. (I spent some time just South of Jacksonville, Florida and in New Liberty, Iowa)
I graduated from West High in 1970.
I enjoy photography and in spite of all the improvements in digital photography, I still think 35mm is the best format!
I am a struggling Type II diabetic and have been for about 8 years now.
I bleed Cardinal Red & Steeler & Hawkeye football BLACK n' GOLD.
I can't stand them OH SO LOVABLE Cubbies but I like those silly Cub fans! They're just so much fun to tease!

IAWC knew they wouldn't be granted the full increase. But if you remember being a kid asking your parents for money, instead of asking for $10, you'd ask for $30. If you were lucky you'd get $15...if not, you'd get what you originally wanted!

The Brady Street corridor is NOT a place for a strip club. The proposed name of the joint would be "SIN CITY".
I can just see that sign greeting all the people coming into town from the North....
I'm not anti-business OR anti-strip club but I would like to see this "business" find another location somewhere else.
Perhaps closer to where I live! :-/

I had the "carpet cleaners" at my door a couple of weeks ago. Offered to clean one rooms carpet for free, no obligation!
I've been around long enough to know better than that, so I dispatched her to the next home!
Hope no one was deceived!
She was a young girl, well dressed and quite articulate. What they are doing is a crime and should be punished with more than "not having a license"....

It rather silly for you to wish upon the Deere retiree's your woe's!
Being fortunate enough to have worked at Deere and Company for many years and then having the rug pulled out from under you should not be looked at as some sort of sick equalization.
Health care is a right, not a privilege and not only should you support them in their quest for fairness, but you also should be hardily involved in changing your situation!

A lot has been said here and frankly, I didn't read 5% of the posts.
This gay marriage thing is about equal rights. Plain and simple....

"Created equal"...."equal rights"....
If your church or religion doesn't want to "recognize" this concept, so be it.
But don't try to saddle those that don't agree with you with your moral concepts.
I personally don't understand the gay lifestyle but I'm not going to tell them that they can't enjoy the same liberties as I do!

Well folks, the Cub fans are coming out of their collective closets again. It's spring time and they think they actually have a chance.
I wonder what it was like for the Cub players playing in the new Yankee stadium (and getting spanked, no less) and then having to come home to the worst ballpark in MLB?
The Cardinals are more (again) than what most are thinking. Remember 2006?
Redbirds will take the Central Division of the National League.
The Cubs will take a disappointing 3rd place with Milwaukee taking 2nd....

Fortunately, we live in AMERICA and public "cainings" and public "hangings" are not allowed.
I agree with Lady Lee that the children should be made to clean up not only the damage they created but all others.
And not only "clean" them but to it up right to where you can't tell if was ever done.
If that means painting the entire railroad viaduct on Division St. then so be it!
