August 30, 2010 I think each vendor should be required to clearly post where the items are grown and by whom. I bv asked many and found out they are buying the stuffand re-selling at their own profit. Not unlike big retailers. Also it should bed disclosed what if any chems are used on the produce

August 17, 2010 Let me state "emphatically" that I have no problem with either of these people. However, I have a major problem with paying TWO people to be "heads of the organization" no matter what you call theier job, the QC Chamber has now retained TWO Presidents or CEOs. Is this necessary? What are their salaries? Let's publish this for the taxpayers.
I think it's fiscally irresponsible to retain both individuals UNLESS of course, they are volunteers.
Again, let's see what they are being paid.

August 17, 2010 Politicians think we are stupid. Many people are, of course, but most can't have the wool pulled over their eyes, at least I hope so. Since the "beginning" of the modern era, politicians have been telling people the same things: Jobs, help teachers, firefighters and cops, a chicken in every pot, peace in the middle east, 99 weeks of unemployment insurance (how much is enough?)
When are we going to wake up and tell these professional appeasers that we've had enough? You can't create jobs in a financial vacuum and by thumbs-downing "capitalism". If no one is creating "capital" we become a third-world country. Look at china. Billions of people living in abject poverty, but for the lucky few - a great life at 50 cents an hour - producing all this "stuff" we probably don't really need.
Anyone have any sense anymore?

August 17, 2010 Oh good grief! Barb you were too nice about it, I'm more inclined to tell Kraft to take a hike. Besides, isn't CDBG money for 501(c)3 corporations, or non-profits?
Kraft should be ashamed, if this is the case. Just rip down the building, buy some blacktop and VOILA. More parking. If there is something "bad" underneath, they can take care of it if they need parking.
Why in the world would I (and the rest of the taxpayers) give money to Kraft? Maybe they can lower the price of B-O-L-O-N-Y for everyone instead!
