I'm so amazed that people don't understand the constitution and how it was set up. The Founders warned that the only way the nation was to prosper was to have equal protection rights and not allow the government to get involved in trying to provide equal distribution of THINGS (like health care, etc.). They also warned against the pooling of property as advocated by the proponents of communism. (5000 year leap) It's funny, but every generation (except this one) struggled mightily to pay off the national debt - this generation has gone berrrrserkoid. Our electorate is certainly not enlightened!

The real "joke" is the crazed health "care" plan that won't help on single person until 2014! Right now, "they" can fix medicaid. Stop the insanity of someone waiting months to get into the program when they need it not. Put a freeze on insurance company premium increases. Put a freeze on wall street bonuses. Not very constitutional, but geeze. We don't need a crazy plan like they are trying to shove down our throats. We need moderate common sense reform.

Oh. You don't like old geezers, huh. At least you didn' say handicapped old geezers. Yes. I see. We dump a Pulitizer Prize winning author and get someone local. You perhaps? How naive of you. I am guessing you want to silence any author who does simply drip left-wing drivel. Let's silence anyone we don't agree with even if we are clueless about the subject matter, only because we don't see anything in it for US. Please. Spare us your talent. I am guessing you wouldn't object it was a column by Michael Moore, George Sorso, or Bill Ayers.

Tom Davis was an excellent coach, considering the poor recruits (some) Iowa hasn't been blessed with excellent recruiting since George Raveling! I say dump all the recruiters, too. They are the worst, ever.

I am with TSoup and others. I'm tired of constantly seeing these radicalized posts that get nowhere, won't change one mind, and are meant to just spew whatever agenda the person is trying to spread. After all, we don't know if these are professional bloggers, jihadists or just plain nutcases spewing hatred (from whatever side). Anonymity is a haven for the haters who have a reason for posting as they do and the reasons are highly suspicious.

This is the kind of stuff that really torques me off and is a portent. If the government (state and federal) won't stop their spending and adding new programs at the federal level(which always trickles down to problems for the states) we are going to see more and more of this and more and more taxes raised to pay for the problems created by these huge deficits. How in conscience can any government increase debt in the trillions and still sustain our schools and other services because of the fallout? Something has to give - and it will be "we the people" who have jobs.

The info here is from Arizona and of course Iowa will be less and CA much, much more. It tells us what is going on in our country.. http://www.arizona-education.org/arizona-education/why-do-illegal-aliens-get-benefits-like-welfare-food-stamps-school-lunch-programs-and-free-education

We can talk about "premature" deaths when the progessives or socialists add 30 million people into the system (their numbers not mine.) Those premies will most likely be the 67+ year olds (never mind they jog and may even work) who need a heart procedure and are denied and those who die in the waiting rooms. Ever been to a Canadian waiting room? This is baloney. If our health care is so bad for the "poor" why are we supporting all the community health care clinics in this country and why are all those countless people on medicaid and medicare able to get excellent care. So why are they dying? BALONEY

Group predicts more premature deaths without health-care reform

Yippie skippy for them, the lucky ones who had time (and auto dialers) to take advantage of this program. Frankly, folks I am super-sick of these "deals". Be it "Cash-for-clunkers" or whatever program that pits people against each other in a time-sensitive "game" to receive crumbs the government (we taxpayers)gives out with TAXPAYER money. It reminds me of the door-storming super deals at Christmas. It isn't fair. If the dumbos want to give a rebate, give a darn rebate and stop this ridiculous practice. I wish, in a utopian world, that people wouldn't respond to these "offers"...but alas, I dream.
