I do not agree just to be politically correct. What I type is what my BASIC beliefs are. I have had three score and ten more years of practice of speaking out against what I do not believe. In life if you don't agree with what you read speakout....if you don't you may wake up and find the goverment insists you believe it.....or die! You personal civic power only reaches to your fingertips so put your arm around your friends sholders and reach a little further.

September 03, 2010 Good question and its best to talk the truck delivery situation over before someone gets hurt? In the Good Old Days they had alleys, however I'm not sure how congested they are in 2010.

September 03, 2010
Entropy said: "I'll leave it to others to decide the issue of dress codes, but I do have a few questions. Okay, let's say that we have a rather large urban high school. The teachers want a fairly strict dress code and so do the administrators. In their expert opinions, it's not that they want to tell students or parents how kids should dress, it's just that they want them to be safe. Enter overbearing and or irresponsible parents. They think that if their daughter wants to dress like a hooker she ought to be able to do so. Because of pressure by these types of parents, the school board says, in effect, "Screw it, times have changed, what's so bad about letting these girls dress like hookers if it makes them happy and gives us peace? They decide not to have a dress code at all. Next step, the number of girls dressed like prostitutes increases. Isn't that right? And how do the boys react? Adult men usually know that just because it is being advertised doesn't mean you get to touch it, but do high school boys know that? Of course they don't. The girls get handled, they get dissrespected, they get embarrassed, and then who do they go to for protection? The very people who expressed the need for a dress code in the first place. Who thinks that it's fair that teachers and administrators should be held accountable for what goes on in schools when they are not allowed to control the variables that lead to these types of problems?"
A good bridge from useless to a proper use to maintain disapline between the sexes. It's all about who's looking at what and why.

That's how poultry got the reputation of carrying the disease, because chickens pick on the ground for their food. If people would properly cook food, salmonella, e-coli, listeria and other pathogens wouldn't be athreat to people."
Some of us ate natural eggs all of our life on the farm. The worst part of a farm egg is gettin' past mother hen when she says, "That's my egg." I wasn't born in a barn nor did I skip school on that day, but the media made most of us afraid of the clorestorol not salomonella, meanwhile people learn how to sell more eggs cheaper and at more risk while we expect agraculture experts to watch the flocks in our stead be they government employees or farmers...... I ask how many times in Iowa history has chicken feed shut down a egg farm that sells a million eggs per year?

September 02, 2010 SECOND LOOK ...." He's quite possibly the most qualified candidate--Democrat, Republican or otherwise--for any office on the ballot in November." Sounds fishy to me, the man supposedly is so competent he knows how to administer any Dept ...he can get...in that case his pre-mumblings about egg quality apparently fell on deaf ears, or some folks just didn't care...Huhh? Now we need to know who didn't care enough..when?

September 02, 2010 And all the other responmsible legislators who follwed since, had no responsibility to understand the more sideboards you put on a wagon the more corn they can haul? (that folks is Iowa farmland basic) Every time you build up the river banks to control flooding you will have more water flowing past a given point. To control flooding you have to educate all citizens in every watershed...and say screw Missouri! Yep the mud is is gettin' deep out here in Scott County, and the mud slinging never seems to subside.

September 02, 2010 Oh-hoho is that the Eastward state that has those so-called crooked Democrats? Is the Democratic party the one that tries to tack added amendments and earmarks onto bills that many from all political parties voted on but haven’t read? The problem with big government is the congressional office staffs have to be larger so they might be able to comprehend what gets attached to great sounding bills, after sundown when it’s party time. …..DH:….”Just waiting for the witless defenders of fiscal incompetency to beat me senseless with short ideological sticks” .....I like that! Like not long enough to be a ruler?…….And A little Goggle Search gives us a Bill Clinton quote on a man that just didn’t know when to quit giving to his people as he served at age 92, or someone told him what to say?……."Robert Byrd was not without a sense of humor. I was once ragging him for hauling so much money to West Virginia. ... So I said to him, 'You know, Senator, if you pave every single inch of West Virginia you can't mine coal.' He said, 'You know, the Constitution does not prohibit humble servants from delivering all they can to their constituents.”...Sorry folks age is not always a barrier and at times it can be a defense against reckless spending of taxes and foolish wants charged to our future incomes.

September 02, 2010 It is good to know the radiation detectors are already in place and are performing as needed. Seldom do we wonder or worry about our nuclear energy plants, but we can now slep better at night knowing we have sentries surrounding the location. You can bet next month all will be forgotten and little children will say, "What are those?"
