Penelope said: "God made everyone, and he doesn't make mistakes.PEOPLE and their attitudes make those. You don't know any more than anyone else."
Pen, your statement is not quite right. In the case of some people, a Buzzard laid them on a tree stump, and the sun hatched them!
Fred W. said: "Seth subscribes to the same old right-wing logic: if you throw enough garbage (lies) at the wall, eventually some of it will stick and the gullible will believe it! Do death panels, illegals being insured, federal funding for abortions, health care rationing, government take-over, and bankrupting the country, ring any bells? Seth adds his own two cents by throwing out his ridiculous "gazillions of dollars" price tag claim for the health care reform bill, none of which he implies is paid for. Sorry Seth, but your sarcastic rants are bogus - the bill is in fact paid for. These untruthful diatribes are getting old."
Fred W., The right is just using the old Gingrich's logic. Where using rhetorical attacks on the opposition is used. Where language is a key mechanism of control.

Holy Carp! I had to take my picture down. I was told not to expose them for what they really are.
Frodo said: "Correction: for more and more REPUBLICAN government workers to surf porn sites, courtesy of a REPUBLICAN president. Why do Republicans say they "hate government", then get elected saying "government IS the problem", then screw everything up by preventing government from working - which they then use to "prove" government isn't the solution? The problem is electing Republican politicians, not government. Some people just don't get it. They never learn. Which is why Teabaggers are presently telling their Republican Congressmen to vote AGAINST financial reform. Insanity is doing the same over and over, but expecting a different result."
Frodo, You left off the recent GOP mailings. Giving out free phone sex line numbers, and this is what these people want running our country.
zetar said: "This is a great link: http://godisimaginary.com/ The sooner we all realize that religion is the cause of war, hatred and famines the sooner humanity can start dealing with solving the urgent problems that confront us.Praying to an imaginary sky-being to solve our problems is delusional."
zetar, Excellent post, with one exception. I believe in Intelligent design. I think that our lives have been made way too complicated, and a lot of that has to do with others wanting to control the masses. I think when it's all said and done, we're going to find out that it's all about love, and how you treat your fellow man. It's kinda like the military's saying, Looking for a few good men, but just change it to, God is looking for a few good people. I actually believe that it is just that simple. Now I know I'm going to hear it from certain people, but that's fine. I have very broad shoulders.
Frodo said: "Exactly, Old School. But mega Corporations like Walmart use their bottomless pockets (which isn't shared more equitably with their overworked workers) to bribe lawmakers for favorable legislation and lax (or non-existent) oversight; for endless lawyers to fight when their abuses finally come to light; and for heavy PR and advertising to misdirect the public from their lousy practices and union busting."
Frodo, You couldn't have said it any better!
David Hume said: "walmart issues an annual report. read it."
David, I think I've touched a nerve there, you sound a little snippy there old buddy. I think we now know who most of the poster are that oppose everything. Owner's of businesses, maybe some CEOs, etc. These people sure aren't common hard working blue collar people.
David Hume said: "walmart does not "set price."price is determined by markets. It's the delicate dance between supply and demand that "sets price."The reason walmarts are packed is not because their prices are high, but because their prices are low!Even activists shop there, usually late at night when they don't think they'll be seen. :-)"
David, I would think that you would have no problem with businesses showing what kind of profit they are actually are making.
Svenska Kat said: "Right if you can profit off the misery of others, by underpaying them, selling them worthless insurance, or by being a war profittier, you belong in power and should have your hands on the reins of the world...Look, the fact that someone is overly concerned with pursuing financil power is a good indication they shouldn't have political power. It isn't about having the courage to price gouge, force others into financial difficulty or generally being a selfish creep. Who is John Galt? A selfish idiot who massaged his own ego rather than helping others."
Kat, one thing that really needs to happen in this Country, is a law passed that shows what the true markup is on anything made or sold here. Then I think you'd see who the true Looters are. A good example is Wal-Mart. They continually kept raising their prices, even though the price of fuel had dropped, and the economy stayed in free fall. But yet they raised their prices to outlandish highs, and then start advertising they're cutting prices. Yeah right, they could cut their prices in half and still be making a nice profit. There's your true Looters!
